Brie Neumann is a legal associate working in the private equity industry in New York, NY. In 2015, Brie obtained her law degree from Georgetown University. While pursuing her education, she published an article on the ethics of attorneys' use of social media in the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. The article has since gone on to be cited in numerous industry texts, including Laurie L. Levenson's "The Politicization of Prosecutors" and the Fordham Law Review.
During her college years, Brie Neumann coordinated a program at Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services for teenage girls (ages 11-14) to help them focus on issues such as self-esteem, body image, peer pressure, and team building. She connected them with positive female role models in their community and brought in women who owned local businesses to run interactive programs and talk to the girls about their stories.

Brie Neumann is responsible for supporting Stonepeak's General Counsel on all legal and compliance matters.
As an Associate in the Corporate Department, Brie Neumann represented sponsors and investors in relation to the structuring, formation, marketing, and operation of private equity funds. She participated in all aspects of fund formation, including drafting and negotiation of term sheets, private placement memorandum, operating agreements, subscription and assignment agreements, investment management agreements, side letters, placement agent agreements, and marketing materials.
Brie Neumann advised European private fund sponsors regarding the structuring, formation and marketing of non-U.S. private equity funds contemplating U.S. offerings, including with respect to compliance with securities laws. Brie also represented institutional investors in connection with secondary transactions, including drafting and negotiation of transfer agreements, and review of underlying partnership agreements.
Brie advised institutional investors in connection with participation in co-investments, including drafting of commitment letters.
Brie Neumann analyzed case files for compliance with federal employment discrimination laws, and conducted intake interviews with clients alleging employment discrimination and drafted formal charges.
Brie Neumann earned her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, District of Columbia. In addition to receiving her degree, Brie was also an active participant in the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. After graduating, Brie was admitted to the New York Bar Association.
Brie graduated with the highest honors in both a BA in Psychology and a BA in Global Studies. She was also a President’s Scholar Recipient, a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society, a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and a member of the Psi Chi Psychology Honors Society.
