Walsin Energy Cable System (WECS) is the first domestic offshore/submarine cable manufacturer in Taiwan that is established through a strategic collaboration between Walsin Lihwa and NKT Cables AB, a subsidiary of NKT A/S , which is one of the leading cable manufacturers in the world. The joint venture has the mission to drive Taiwan’s green energy goal of achieving Net-Zero by 2050 through being a leading submarine cable manufacturer in APAC.
WECS is searching for an experienced and skilled individual with an organized approach and strong communication skills for the role of Project Manager (PM). As the PM, you will be the accountable leader for the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned WECS projects, ensuring the contract is executed in a safe manner to meet the strategic objectives, compliance standards, and stakeholder expectations set out. Operating within a strong matrix organization, the PM shall ensure alignment with WECS project management principles and governance standards, overseeing scope, schedule, cost, HSES, quality, risk, and stakeholder engagement to achieve Project financial results that are within target or above. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional coordination, and proactive risk and cost management to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1-Project Planning Execution
Lead end-to-end project planning and delivery, ensuring milestones, timelines, and deliverables are achieved in accordance with WECS PM processes and client requirements.
2-Stakeholder Team Management
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
3-Financial Budget Management
Own the project PL, including budgeting, cost control, cash flow monitoring, and margin management in collaboration with project controls and finance teams.
4-Compliance Governance
Ensure projects comply with contractual obligations, regulatory standards, internal governance frameworks, and promote strong HSES and safety culture.
5-Risk Issue Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while resolving issues efficiently to prevent delays, cost overruns, or operational disruptions.
6-Systems Documentation Management
Maintain accurate project records and reporting through ERP and document management systems in compliance with ISO and internal standards.
