【環球晶圓中德分公司】【R&D Engineer】Materials & Failure Analysis Engineer

Global Wafers has an opening for a Materials & Failure Analysis R&D Engineer/Scientist to support materials development and failure analysis activities related to silicon crystal growth and semiconductor manufacturing. This role focuses on hands-on materials characterisation, high-temperature furnace testing, and collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure materials and quartz ware meet performance and quality requirements.
In this position, he/she will work closely with R&D, manufacturing sites, and vendors to investigate material behaviour, identify failure root causes, and translate analytical results into clear technical recommendations. Minimal travel is expected.

Key Responsibility:
1. Perform materials characterization and failure analysis to support silicon crystal growth, quartz ware evaluation, and manufacturing needs.
2. Plan and execute high-temperature furnace tests and related characterization of new materials and crucible products.
3. Apply a range of analytical techniques to determine root causes of material or process issues and communicate analysis results through technical reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
4. Work with existing and new suppliers to evaluate materials, align product performance with internal specifications, and support vendor qualification.
5. Support R&D, manufacturing, and field teams by advising on analysis approaches and contribute to the development of new failure analysis methods, laboratory capabilities, and equipment selection.
6. Train and supervise laboratory technician(s) as required and maintain a safe working environment.

Skill requirement:
1. Master or above in Materials Science, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
2. Familiarity with semiconductor materials, materials processing, and characterisation techniques.
3. Knowledge of silicon Czochralski crystal growth, quartz crucible materials, and high-temperature material interactions is desirable.
4. Data analysis, problem solving and communication skills while working alone or in large teams

學歷：碩士以上
-Master or above degree in Physics or Engineering.
-Good communication and teamwork skills.
-Fluent in English (LSRW).
