Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 3 years of experience with Android or iOS application development.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
- Experience in consumer-facing mobile applications.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 7 years of experience in mobile development and scaling mobile apps.
- 3 years of experience in designing, maintaining, and improving engineering systems.
- 3 years of experience working in a changing organization.

Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. Responsibilities
- Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals, align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Design and guide systems designs, and write product or system development code to solve problems.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Define and influence technical direction and strategy in conjunction with technical leads, helping the team make balanced trade-offs, and prioritize engineering excellence investments.
- Manage, support, and grow a team of client engineers (Android and iOS), leading the team with management excellence and shaping the team culture.
