Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Go, or Python.
  • 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, or Go.
  • Experience in performance optimization/tuning.
  • Experience in database design, large-scale distributed systems, Cloud APIs and caching.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, redis open source and valkey.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate the Cloud Memorystore for redis/cloud Memorystore for valkey service.
  • Raise the bar for reliability as the service scales. Work on the next set of investments for Memorystore all-up, collaborating closely with Redis and partner teams.
  • Lead a team of highly skilled and capable engineers. Work with partner teams (e.g., Technical Program Manager/Program Manager/SRE/Engineering Productivity, etc.), to deliver on product goals.
  • Coach and guide team and fellow teams for long-term career success.
  • Make strategic engineering decisions to grow the product and ensure successful customers.
