Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of consulting or customer-facing experience focused on delivering data solutions.
  • Experience managing partners (e.g. channel partners, systems integrators, third-party developers) to deliver solutions.
  • Experience using big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and database management systems (e.g. SQL, Apache).
  • People management experience, including managing engineers or architects through technical data projects delivery.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience programming in one or more languages (e.g. Java, Python, Go, or C++).
  • Experience leading IT implementations, IT support, deployments, and business development activities.
  • Experience with relevant cloud technology more particularly in AI.
  • Experience implementing large-scale cloud or software projects in corporate environments.
  • Organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage across multiple time sensitive initiatives.

As a Cloud Data Manager, you will lead a technical team that is an integral part of the broader Professional Services organization. You will work closely with the regional leadership team to accommodate the demand for skills, to provide technical leadership across the region, and to mentor a growing team. You will bring your demonstrated leadership acumen to a team responsible for ensuring the best experience for customers moving to Google Cloud. In this role, you are responsible for providing technical solutions, managing relationships with our customers' key stakeholders, and enabling our Google Cloud partners.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and high-performing team culture, through hiring, developing, and retaining a team with clear objectives, performance management, and career coaching.
  • Manage and grow a team of data consultants and engineers focused on enterprise-wide modern data platforms.
  • Recommend and document data migration and transformation paths required to successfully implement modern data platform solutions using best practices on Google Cloud.
  • Drive the development of best practices and assets to support initiatives to scale expertise to accelerate implementations and cloud adoption.
  • Oversee data portfolio delivery excellence and presales, exceptional customer satisfaction, and accurate estimation of customer outcomes.
