Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in telecommunications, low-voltage, fiber-optics, or critical systems construction management.
  • 5 years of experience in program management and managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 5 years of experience in contracting, including negotiations, drafting, and managing vendor relationships in the infrastructure, construction, or a related industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certified RCDD, PMP, or similar industry certifications.
  • 10 years of experience in project or construction management with network infrastructure (i.e., fiber optic cabling, cable tray, racks, etc.).
  • Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving objectives on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience working in data centers or similar environments where work involves impact to core functionalities and is governed with formal change control processes.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
  • Knowledge of fast track design builds processes and associated documents and agreements.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager focused on Data Center Network Infrastructure Construction, you will lead complex projects with numerous cross-functional teams. You plan requirements with internal customers and external partners to usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. You will work with customers to develop project scopes, managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your project teams can span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the stakeholders coordinated and informed on the project's progress and schedule. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional partner teams and site-based execution teams through subject matter expert (SME) technical guidance, and serve as a regional liaison for the Program Management team.
  • Help develop and socialize processes and procedures to enable the team to operate efficiently with consistent results.
  • Be responsible for gathering internal requirements and deliver solutions that satisfy customers needs.
  • Resolve highly critical issues within organizations, while maintaining adherence to project timelines and costs.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
