About the job

As an Administrative Business Partner, you're at the heart of your team's business operations and activities and the soul that keeps your team moving forward. You anticipate the needs of your managers and team members and help them stay focused on their projects by resolving operational and administrative issues before they arise. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up to date with the latest Google products and services. You also use that knowledge to strategically support your team's projects. In addition to being organized and analytical, you possess the strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions.

In this elevated Administrative Business Partner role, you are much more than an administrative support professional; you will be a partner and trusted advisor. Your primary objective is to act as a crucial gatekeeper and strategist, freeing up the executive's time so they can focus on the highest value-add work and core priorities. This requires a profound understanding of the executive's role, overarching business objectives, and shifting daily priorities.

Working as an extension of the leadership team, you will orchestrate complex schedules, anticipate issues before they arise, and protect the executive's bandwidth with impeccable judgment. You will ensure the executive is thoroughly prepped for all high-stakes engagements—from keynotes to media appearances—and act as the critical bridge between leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners.

Administrative jobs at Google are staffed by organized and dependable people driven by a common company goal: to help us accomplish great things. Working behind the scenes, we make a significant impact on the people we support as well as on Google users around the world. We're adept at leading and managing a variety of simultaneous projects, which requires the particular talent of being able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize the executive's schedule based on core objectives. Act as a firm yet diplomatic gatekeeper, declining unnecessary requests and protecting time for work.
  • Ensure the executive is fully prepared for key engagements. Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and presentations for meetings and media to guarantee alignment with goals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of executive priorities. Track major projects, facilitate cross-functional communication, and anticipate operational roadblocks before they become urgent.
  • Serve as a meeting proxy when necessary. Capture actionable insights, track critical decisions, and drive follow-ups to maintain project momentum without requiring constant supervision.
  • Elevate daily operations by managing complex travel logistics, streamlining workflows, and handling highly sensitive information with absolute discretion.

About us

Google’s mission is to organize the world‘s information and make it universally accessible and useful.

Since our founding in 1998, Google has grown by leaps and bounds. From offering search in a single language we now offer dozens of products and services—including various forms of advertising and web applications for all kinds of tasks—in scores of languages. And starting from two computer science students in a university dorm room, we now have thousands of employees and offices around the world. A lot has changed since the first Google search engine appeared. But some things haven’t changed: our dedication to our users and our belief in the possibilities of the Internet itself.
