Job Responsibilities
will include but not be limited to the following:
1. Assists in architecture development, assessment and concept incubation.
2. Design engineering solutions for the platform and system.
3. Work with other hardware engineers or outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions.
4. Conducts feasibility studies, design margin, validation analyses and empirical testing on the designs.
5. This role would apply developed subject matter knowledge to design, analyze, develop, modify and evaluate the key components of the platform, integrate sub-systems and firmware and hardware.
6. Ensure integrated circuitry based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
7. Collaborates and communicates with management, internal peer functions, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
8. Cooperate with internal peer functions and outsourced design partners, to develop and implement parameters and test plans for the designs, including validation of hardware circuit quality/ robustness; mechanical tolerances/ assembly interference, form/fit/function, shock and vibration; electromagnetic interference; safety; reliability; thermal generation; and system power measurements and expected distribution.
9. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used form prototype fabrication to production.
