As a Web Developer / CTO, you will manage the exchange of data between the server and the users, and translate the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce the visual elements of the application. Also, you will design the overall architecture of the web application and ensure performance and stability.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Web development using HTML/CSS/Javascript to create website layout/user interface
- Front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, and Angular
- Back-end frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and ASP.NET
- Merge the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application
- Content management systems (CMSs) such as WordPress, Joomla, and Webflow
- Collaborate with web designers for visual design intent.
- Site maintenance for domain, subdomain SEO:
- Responsible for optimizing the web for technical SEO (e.g. robot.txt, sitemap), maximum speed, and scalability.
- Able to manage database administration and scale up an application to support load changes.
- Implement security and data protection.
- Focus on coding and debugging.
- Create sustainable and functional web applications with clean codes.
- Learn about new technologies and stay up to date with current best practices.
- Conduct UI tests and optimize performance
- REST API development
- Relational databases such as MySQL

- Proven working experience in web programming.
- Programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
- Familiarity with programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, Javascript, or Ruby on Rails.
- Good understanding of how web applications work including security and session management.
- Knowledgeable of database systems, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
- Experience with network diagnostics and network analytics tools.
- Good understanding of the multiple delivery platforms' differences (mobile vs. desktop), and ensure that output matches the specific platform.
- Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process for Google Search Engine
- Great understanding of fundamental design principles for a scalable application.
- Ability to implement tests and automated testing platforms.
- Basic knowledge of image rendering tools, to perform small adjustments on an image.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools and development aiding tools.
- Agile and test-driven development best practice
- BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Fluency spoken in Mandarin, well-spoken in English
- Taiwan Resident
- Able to work remotely / online at least 20 hours per month, maximum 40 hours per month. (Able to contact in Taiwan)
- Open to talented individuals currently employed full-time but interested in part-time opportunities.
