Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (SRE, Remote)

Remote Work & Location

• Remote Collaboration: This position welcomes international talent to work remotely. Candidates must be able to align with Taiwan's primary communication hours (GMT+8) and possess mature digital collaboration and self-management skills.
• Compliant Employment: For non-Taiwanese remote employees based overseas, the company will ensure full legal compliance regarding employment and payroll. The specific contract model will be negotiated and finalized based on your local regulations and company policies after an offer is extended.
• Relocation Support: If you plan to relocate to Taiwan in the future, the company can assist with the Taiwan Work Visa application and provide consultancy for the residency process.
• Language Requirement: Please note that internal team communication, technical documentation, and cross-team collaboration are primarily conducted in Chinese.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Resource Management: Cloud resource orchestration and optimization, including access control and monitoring.
  • AWS: VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, WAF, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, CloudFront, etc.
  • GCP: VPC, IAM, GCE, CloudSQL, CloudCDN, BigQuery, etc.
• System Provisioning: Collaborate with developers to build, provision, and maintain system environments.
• Incident Management: Troubleshooting and resolving live system incidents and emergencies when necessary.
• Automation & CI/CD: Plan, design, and optimize automated deployment workflows and release processes.
• Security & Cost Control: Design cloud information security architectures and implement cost-control management.

- 雲端資源調度與配置最佳化 (含權限控制與監控)
AWS: VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, WAF, S3, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudWatch, CloudFront etc.
GCP: VPC, IAM, GCE, CloudSQL, CloudCDN, BigQuery, etc.
- 與開發同仁協作完成系統建置作業
- 適度配合排除線上系統突發狀況
- 自動化部署流程規劃與設計
- 版本部署流程最佳化設計
- 雲端資訊安全設計與成本控管

Basic Skills & Requirements

• Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems and the core principles of version control.
• Fundamental understanding and practical application of the Nginx web server.
• Competent in programming and scripting (e.g., Shell script).
• Familiar with CI/CD pipeline design and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, ByteBase, Atlantis).
• Familiar with service monitoring and alerting configurations (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform.
• Familiar with log management systems and their daily maintenance/operations (e.g., Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash).
• Proven ability to track, analyze, and perform post-mortems on live service incidents.
• Hands-on experience in Kubernetes deployment and maintenance, with a deep understanding of K8s inner workings.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

• Experience with Serverless application integration.
• Experience in planning and architecture design for large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in designing High Availability (HA) services.
• Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and design.
• Experience in designing load testing and performance testing workflows.
• Experience in team leadership or technical mentoring.
