Data Scientists (AI) Intern (Taiwan local)
Avalanche Computing deep learning data scientists deliver amazing quality models and algorithms by combining state-of-the-art computer vision, image processing, time series analysis, and deep learning. As a data scientist/deep learning intern on our team, you'll help to develop and extend these algorithms, working with the customers who made vertical AI in medical, manufacturing, construction, and so on. And make the AI model spanning the border of different cloud platforms and edges on our SaaS product with our full-time data scientists.
Noted that now there are many candidates from around the global but this position from Cakeresume is for Taiwan students only, we will contact you if you are fit for our position.
Key Qualifications
You have demonstrated the fundamentals of building algorithms driven by machine learning, computer vision, deep learning (must-have experience), time-series data analysis, and deep learning knowledge.
You have experience in Python and relevant AI frameworks (e.g., Numpy, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
It is also valuable with coding skills in C and C++ as well as experience with Unix/Linux and software development practices (documenting, debugging, testing, maintaining).
Good skill on verbal and written communication skills.
Fast reading and implementation of research papers.
Can build deep learning applications or assemble several algorithms.
You're a passionate team worker who seeks to solve the most difficult problems innovatively.
Note: this position will compete with global talents.

The process at Avalanche Computing
Avalanche Computing Taiwan Inc. was funded by Nvidia USA alumni in Santa Clara, CA, USA, in 2018. The core team was established in Taipei, Taiwan at the end of 2018. After a year of collaboration with many enterprises, Avalanche Computing Taiwan Inc. was registered in February 2020. In the first month, we won the Airbus global top-10 innovation startup award in March, joined the NVIDIA global inception program, and became a part of NTUTEC. The time flies, we won several awards in global huge exhibitions at Viva Tech 2023, LTW 2022, QITC 2021, et., al.
What we do:
The barrier to entry in AI is lower than ever before, thanks to open-source software, including frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and more. However, developing specific AI applications still poses challenges for traditional companies and SMEs, as they must build data pipelines, computing environments, and AI models. But, only a few teams can help speed up the AI computing (NVIDIA team and we can do well).
To overcome these challenges (few talents, a long wait for computing, and a long development cycle), we provide hyper-scale computing techniques for deep learning. Our hyper-scale computing framework is a deep-tech solution for computing technology. With our hyper-scale technology, clients can focus on innovation while we handle the rest. We offer hyper-scale architecture, multi-GPUs, distributed model training, and hyper-scale inference on 10,000+ edge devices. Clients can simply upload their AI models into our SaaS AI development tool within minutes. We call it hAIsten AI. In 2024 Jan, we launched the first and most tiny offline GenAI product on NVIDIA edge devices.
We also won several awards:
