Job Responsibilities

• Enterprise Architecture: Design end-to-end data architectures, define data taxonomies and dictionaries, curate strategic datasets, and optimize data integration, processing, and storage.
• Solution Design: Create solutions by balancing resource skills, time, cost, and operational complexity. Build simple, scalable, and maintainable systems.
• Customer Centricity: Collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders to turn initial requests into real-world solutions. Communicate trade-offs and iterate on solutions.

Technical Requirements

• ETL Experience: Experience in building and maintaining reliable and scalable ETL on big data platforms like AWS S3, Apache Hive, and Databricks.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS and services such as Glue, Lake Formation, Lambda, Sagemaker, EMR, etc.
• Data Lake Infrastructure: Experience with Delta Lake, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.
• Data Modeling: Knowledge of data modeling techniques and databases like MySQL and MongoDB.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data exploration, analysis, and prototyping.
• ETL Solutions: Experience with solutions like Fivetran and Stitch.
• Version Control: Experience with Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket, etc.

Non-Technical Requirements

• Leadership: Ability to mentor junior team members and take ownership of projects.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
• Independent Work: Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-changing environment.
• Agile Project Management: Skills in agile project management are highly desired.
