• Design, implement, and test Linux kernel features to meet business requirements.
• Automate testing of key capabilities and performance metrics on targeted devices.
• Support multiple devices (existing and planned) using standardized solutions.
• Integrate third-party drivers (source and/or binary) for devices such as E Ink, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.
• Develop and integrate drivers for custom devices, including power management.
• Debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through optimizations and solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware manufacturing partners to diagnose and resolve functional or performance issues.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Linux kernel development, including new board bring-up, managing multiple device configurations concurrently, and integrating device drivers.
• Strong skills in C for system software development, including using source control, bug tracking, testing, and design documentation.
• Experience with git for source control.
• Solid verbal English communication skills.
• Knowledge of electronics and ability to collaborate effectively with hardware designers.
• Understanding of operating system internals and device trees.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with integrating and supporting E Ink, touch, stylus, Bluetooth, and WiFi devices.
• Background in automating testing of device performance.
• Experience supporting remote application developers.
• Familiarity with Rust programming language.
• Experience with Yocto.
