R&D Line Director - Electronic Company - CH

• Leading a team of managers and engineers including electrical and software engineers developing innovative video/audio products

• Offering technical expertise and supervision across various simultaneous product development teams.

• Collaborating with internal technical specialists to offer consultative input on system architecture to customer teams.

• Demonstrated experience, proficiency, and willingness to engage with customers across diverse models, from CM to JDM to ODM.

• Working collaboratively with the global R&D leadership team and fellow leaders of design centers across Asia, Europe, and North America to establish a culture of innovation, efficiency, and forward-thinking policies in product development.

• Striking a balance between fostering innovation, meeting customer commitments in a timely manner, mitigating technical and commercial risks, and ensuring the well-being of team members to drive business success.

• Taking the lead in engaging with key suppliers and partners to understand and strategically influence roadmaps and technology platforms, enabling company to deliver unique and innovative solutions to customers.

• Acting as a knowledgeable technical authority and ambassador for company's capabilities, representing the video conferencing team to customers, industry peers, and internally within the company.

• Providing inspirational leadership to our R&D team, driving employee retention, fostering innovation, and enhancing overall satisfaction.

• Minimum of a bachelors degree in a hardware, mechanical or software engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of hands-on product development experience in the following areas
  • Embedded Android or Linux systems
  • Camera integrations
  • 3 party integration of DSP and AI technologies
  • HW Design requirements of the above
• 5+ years of managing multi-disciplinary HW/SW engineering and product development teams
• Proven experience operating globally within multi-national organizations and with global customers
• Strong spoken and written English communications ability
• Proven success in balancing technical and people management needs to simultaneously deliver business results and foster a satisfying and innovative engineering culture
• Proven ability and desire to operate as a key member of a global engineering senior leadership team driving innovation, organizational evolution and team satisfaction across all of Tymphany’s design centers
• Proven ability to operate effectively in a globally distributed team
• Self-motivator and the ability to work autonomously leading in a rapidly changing environment and able to switch rapidly between tasks, projects, and team needs
