Job Intro

We are looking for a (Senior) PR & Partnership Specialist to elevate Cake’s brand visibility and establish strong PR engagement and industry partnerships. In this role, you will focus on deepening media engagement through impactful press releases, strategic partnerships, and thought leadership activities. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of Cake’s PR efforts, ensuring the brand’s continued growth and recognition in a dynamic, international market.

Responsibilities

• Craft and distribute press releases to boost brand visibility and media engagement.
• Build and maintain partnerships with media outlets and industry organizations for consistent collaboration.
• Implement PR strategies to enhance brand positioning and thought leadership while driving measurable upper-funnel traffic.
• Manage award submissions and coordinate cross-industry collaborations with communities, governmental agencies, and corporates.
• Oversee content licensing, media collaborations, and the distribution of branded PR content through owned channels.
• Maintain a database of media partners, industry events, and award opportunities to support PR initiatives.
• Track and analyze media coverage and brand performance to refine future strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in PR, preferably as a journalist or within an in-house PR team or media agency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin, with expertise in news writing and storytelling that engages media audiences.
• Ability to translate market trends into strategic PR angles and impactful brand deliverables.
• Proven experience in media outreach, partnership development, or account management (proficiency in at least one area required).

Bonus Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
• Familiarity with PR performance metrics and tools.
• Experience in campaign and event marketing.
• Advanced project management skills to oversee complex initiatives, including but not limited to cost/time/stakeholder management.
• Experience working in 1-100 stage startups or in international startup environments is a plus.
