About the Role

We are seeking two proactive and enthusiastic Backend Engineering Interns to join our Engineering team! This internship provides hands-on experience in backend development, and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals. During the 6-month internship, you will:

• Learn to develop highly-available, distributed microservices on a modern tech stack and infrastructure
• Gain proficiency in Golang, Git, and agile methodologies through hands-on projects
• Learn how to debug technical Issues, propose solutions and deliver projects from proposal to rollout.
• Learn how to operate in a full stack product engineering team comprising of backend, native app and web engineers
• Learn how to collaborate with non-tech stakeholders like designers, product managers and other functions
• Experience how product engineering and software development projects are managed and executed in a regional modern tech company.

Responsibilities:

• Program well-designed, maintainable, testable and efficient code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
• Participate in code reviews to maintain a high-quality code culture
• Discuss and communicate actively with your mentor and other engineers in the company to seek idea and feedback

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's degree program
• Knowledge of any programming language
• Passion for writing software and learning the latest software development techniques
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement
• A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design
• Available for at least 2.5~3 working days per week as a part-time intern

Bonus:

• Major in Computer Science or related field
• Excellent communication skill in English (speaking and writing)
