Job Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

* Develops and documents new processes in the area of logistics: receiving, warehouse, material control, shipping, import/export and transportation.
* Provides direction to team on process enhancements.
* Reviews and updates existing processes and provides direction to team on implementing material control and warehousing process enhancements.
* Participates in the evaluation, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of specific SCM business processes including cost savings and cycle time reduction.
* Provides ongoing support in resolving process/execution issues with both internal and external customers.
* Manages requests for support/service and develops processes to meet customer demands and ensure satisfaction.
* Leads in the rapid identification, analysis, and resolution of problems to ensure the minimum interruption to the team's work.
* Develops tools for tracking of measurements and performance.
* Monitors activities of the team against defined objectives, reports on achievements and proposes ways in which performance can be improved.
* Trains and mentors new employees in the department.
* SAP material master owner -- responsible to update planning and purchasing parameters such as pricing, supplier information, lead-times, minimum ordering quantities, bill of materials, etc. For new and existing part numbers.
* Review and approve/reject freight and duties invoices and look for opportunities to reduce freight expenses
* Ensure site complies with Import/Export regulations.
* Assist on return to vendor parts to suppliers
* Assist on annual physical inventory
* Headcount planning and management for K&N third party warehousing and material control contractor

Requirements

* Good knowledge of an electronics manufacturing environment, material and processes.
* Good understanding of manufacturing, warehouse and distribution processes.
* Knowledge of basic computer applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications.
* Good understanding of internal and external customer requirements.
* Ability to identify and resolve complex process/system problems using financial, analytical and statistical models.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
* Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
