This role specifically focuses on continuously improving the design quality framework, ensuring quality is inherently built into product designs and processes.* Lead the quality assurance efforts for new product introductions, ensuring seamless transition from design to manufacturing, robust process capability, and superior product performance in the market.* Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and report on the effectiveness of quality processes and product quality monitoring.* Champion advanced risk management methodologies (S/D/PFMEA, FTA, NUDD) throughout the entire product design and development lifecycle, ensuring proactive risk identification and mitigation.* Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, PMO and Operations leadership to embed quality requirements early in the design process and ensure seamless, high-quality design transfer to manufacturing.* Direct the execute Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including the development and approval of Control Plans, robust Process FMEAs (PFMEA), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) strategies.* Ensure new products meet all defined quality and performance targets, achieving critical launch readiness milestones.* Establish systems for comprehensive new product quality monitoring post-launch, driving effective analysis of field data (e.g., warranty, customer complaints, field failures) to identify trends and lead timely corrective actions, working with Global Reliability teams.* Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to ensure supplier capabilities meet new product quality requirements, particularly for critical components and assemblies.* Lead, manage and develop the site quality NPI teams.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for complex projects, involving multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling. .* Provide technical leadership and direction to a sizable team of engineers. May be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas* Take responsibility for non-technical elements of an engineering project (people, financials etc.).* Review and interpret customer requirements/specifications and may act as primary customer contract.* Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions. Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Adhering to and implementing proper welding procedures.* Maintaining accurate dimensional tolerances set forth on drawings.* Ensuring product quality while focusing on given standards.* Adhering to SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, GMAW and other processes as required.* Laying out, fitting and welding advances weldments with or without the aid of fixturing.* Handling heavy materials manually and with overhead cranes in safe and efficient manner.* Assuring all welding is performed and documented in compliance with all quality control policies.* Maintaining traceability requirements by completing required documentation.* Cleaning and maintaining weldment equipment.* Adhere to all safety practices and report and unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment.

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:* Under supervision and with minimal assistance define, specify, qualify, install, support and optimize test process and test equipment solutions for manufacturing.* Lead test process optimization, with a focus on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield for a specific set of equipment within an Operations value stream* Debug of test process and equipment solutions using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies* Collaborate with Quality, Process and Equipment engineers to detect and solve product and test yield and performance issues* Develop improvement roadmaps for test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, test time reductions and OEE* Analyze and interpret data and information from yield reports and equipment logs and product diagnostics to determine sources of yield loss* Provide solution support to process engineers to improve detection of known defect types as part of a Process Control plan* Support development of test equipment integration into Manufacturing Execution Systems including yield, tester log and product parametric information.
