Job Description

We are looking for an experienced App Marketing Specialist with at least 5 years of experience in app marketing, particularly in the US market. The ideal candidate should have native or near-native English skills, a deep understanding of US culture and trends, and the ability to independently execute marketing projects such as growth strategies, ad campaigns, ASO, or SEO.

We’re open to part-time and contractor roles. If you’re in Taipei, this position requires on-site work at our office. If not, remote work is fine.

  • If based in Taipei → Hybrid remote work (on-site at our office 3 days per week)
  • Remote-friendly if/when you’re in the US
  • We are open to full-time, part-time, and contractor roles
    • Part-time and contractor roles: 16-30 hours per week

What will I work on?

  • Develop and execute growth marketing strategies to expand our user base in the US, focusing on high-impact channels
  • Support team members in US campaigns, providing insights and leadership in execution
  • Independently manage and execute projects in at least one marketing area: ASO, SEO, paid ads, content marketing, or growth marketing campaigns
  • Stay up-to-date with US trends and culture, ensuring our strategies resonate with the target audience
  • Work closely with the creative team to produce marketing assets (screenshots, videos, ad creatives, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the product team to optimize the user journey and align branding with marketing efforts
  • Analyze data and insights to refine and optimize marketing experiments and campaigns
  • Document processes and strategies clearly, ensuring organized execution and knowledge sharing

Requirements

What skills are required?

  • 5+ years of experience in app marketing, working on mobile apps
  • Native or near-native English skills—can write, edit, and communicate flawlessly in American English, including slang
  • Experience marketing in the US market, with deep knowledge of US user behavior, trends, and cultural nuances
  • Familiarity with female audiences and trends, especially Gen Z women
  • Expertise in at least one core area of app marketing, such as SEO, ASO, paid ad campaigns, content marketing, growth strategies, influencer campaigns, etc
  • Ability to independently manage projects from planning to execution, requiring minimal guidance
  • Strong documentation and communication skills—able to clearly explain ideas, methods, and strategies
  • Fast learner, able to adapt and support areas outside your direct expertise when needed
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, metric-driven

Nice to have

  • Experience working on social or dating apps
  • Experience using mobile marketing/analytic tools (e.g., Data.ai, AppTweak, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, AppsFlyer, Amplitude)

Founded in 2013 by The Global Growth Expert, Colin Hodge, Down was acquired by Paktor in 2016 after reaching over 5 million users organically, merged companies with 17Live in 2017, and then reacquired by the founders in 2018.
