Senior QA Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our growing development team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications and back-end services. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to create high-quality products by identifying and fixing issues early in the development cycle. Your role will be critical in ensuring our apps deliver a seamless and bug-free user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of our applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing on mobile apps (iOS/Android) and backend systems to identify bugs and potential improvements.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and fix issues during the development process.
• Track and report defects using issue-tracking tools, ensuring proper documentation of testing results.
• Work with developers to understand the application features and design tests to ensure quality assurance.
• Ensure continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes are followed to support fast releases while maintaining quality.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and other agile ceremonies.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in manual and automated testing of mobile applications and backend services.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, XCUITest).
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Solid experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Notion, JIRA).
• Ability to create detailed and structured test plans, test cases, and documentation.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and document issues clearly.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Optional Skills:

• Experience in testing financial applications or platforms.
• Familiarity with performance testing and tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate testing into these processes.
• Experience with cloud services or backend testing for APIs and microservices.
