About this role

We are hiring a Content Editor to lead the creation and curation of engaging, effective language-learning content for our web-based graded reading app.

As our third team member, you will be responsible for building our content library from the ground up, using a combination of content creation and curation/editing of existing content.

You will work closely with our growing team of developers and educators.

What you'll be doing

• Sourcing, writing, and editing Chinese graded reading material
• Collaborating with developers to integrate content into our product
• Using AI tools to generate, adapt, and enhance content
• Designing a content strategy that aligns with user needs as our company grows

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a passionate educator with a flair for creative writing, who can create engaging content that truly resonates with learners.

Experience in the following is beneficial:

• Expert proficiency in written Chinese (both Simplified and Traditional)
• Skill in creative writing, particularly short stories
• Content creation and/or editorial work (e.g. translation)
• Knowledge of Chinese grading frameworks (HSK, TOCFL, CEFR, etc)
• Other experience as a Chinese language educator
