THE POSITION: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer within our Data Team, you will collaborate closely with a talented group of analysts, engineers, and scientists to enhance the value of our products through developing and implementing recommendation systems, seeking opportunities, and proposing projects that utilize Data Modeling to solve business problems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Collaborate with our Business Intelligence Team to define data governance requirements and objectives, aligning them with business goals.
• Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
• Design new data pipelines to collect currently unavailable data, facilitating advanced analytics.
• Implement and maintain data governance tools and platforms to support data governance initiatives.
• Analyze complicated data logic to develop automated and reusable solutions for extracting requested information while assuring data validity and integrity.
• Track, monitor debugging process and deliver document testing results.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations related to data governance, and identify opportunities for improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or related role
• Experience in establishing and implementing data governance practices.
• Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL so as to query data smoothly and independently.
• Proficiency in Python and workflow tools such as Airflow or AWS Step Function.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to discuss complex ideas with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
• Experience in using data governance tools such as DataHub is a plus.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively within a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Curiosity and a passion for continuous learning
• Good English communication skills
