Position Impact:

This position is for a SAP Basis administrator, focused on SAP activities including system maintenance, management, and deployments. This position requires in-depth knowledge of SAP system administration and database skills to support reporting, auditing, and backup / restore practices...

Responsibility:

• Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test, training and production).
• Maintain the integrity of the SAP environment by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) to ensure all configuration and development objects are promoted properly.
• Install and configure all required SAP database servers and application servers.
• Manage SAP users, authorizations, and profiles.
• Distribute the online SAP user workload and monitor and manage the SAP background job workload.
• Configure and manage the SAP printing subsystem for all SAP instances.
• Maintain SAP performance by planning and executing SAP tuning strategies.
• Monitor all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.).
• Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.
• Apply and migrate SAP maintenance (hot packages and kernel upgrades) through all systems using a structured methodology.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
• Provide status reports for projects to management.

Requirement:

• Familiar with SAP system administration and system monitoring.
• Familiar with SAP application deployment process.
• Familiar with Database operations, including backup and restore. (MSSQL or Oracle)
• Familiar with SAP permission management
• Good experience in Linux and VMWare management
• Progressive, broad-based IT experience successfully implementing complex IT applications and/or developing efficient effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
• Demonstrated functional work experience in related areas.
• High-level communication skills to influence and persuade others.
• Ability to simply present concepts and recommendations to others.
• Project Management experience including the ability to identify project milestones and associated tasks.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP finance area using business intelligence, warehousing, and/or related programming is a plus.
• Good at communication, coordination, and teamwork, and can-do attitude.
• Good logic analysis ability.
