About the Team

HTC Creative Labs is a global team of designers, artists, engineers, and researchers that delivers design strategy and incubates new products and experiences for the HTC portfolio. This team is responsible for much of HTC’s most significant design work over the past decade. Our current focus is on creating next-generation XR software and hardware experiences for the HTC VIVE brand and VIVERSE ecosystem. Our process relies on the collaboration of exceptionally talented individuals to create products that offer functional benefits and emotional resonance to our target audiences.

Responsibilities

• Explore, investigate, and communicate experience design initiatives based on design research.
• Design, build, and test interactive prototypes to iterate and evolve your design concepts.
• Develop scenarios and storyboards to communicate design concepts to team members, and cross-functional product partners.
• Collaborate with design leadership, product, and engineering groups to deliver detailed on-time user experience design specifications and related documentation to related product teams.
• Track, synthesize, and resolve design-related issues, feature requests, and design input in assigned projects.
• Prepare and present design materials to evangelize design initiatives throughout the project lifecycle to internal teams, executives, and external partners.
• Contribute to evolving design culture and process at HTC's UX Design team group and throughout HTC's worldwide design organization.
• Positively contribute to HTC’s evolving design culture throughout the company.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience shipping software products or interaction design relevant to 3D experiences.
• Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Computer-related Design, HCI, Human Factors, or a closely-related field.
• Experience shipping multiple products from concept to market.
• Proven experience working with and influencing a multi-disciplinary team of UX designers/researchers, planners, engineers, business development, product planning, and sales.
• Experience in designing hardware product experience or software user interfaces. (multi-platforms and system-level features design are a plus)
• Capable of visually producing professional-quality interaction design concepts and specifications in detail.
• Expertise in the industry standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and at least one prototyping tool.
• Experience presenting design concepts to various levels of an organization.
• Recognizes design as both a cultural and strategic activity.
