We are looking for a sharp, optimistic, and effective business development & marketing manager to join us and grow our new client opportunities. Must be based in Taiwan or similar time zone, you’ll work closely with the founder to create exciting new opportunities. This is a contract-to-hire role with long-term potential to transition into a full-time team member for the right person. You will be at the front of outreach and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable projects with dream clients through a smart and efficient client development workflow and forging strong relationships with clients. Note that this role will also support our sister design agency Komorebi & Company.
Responsibilities
Develop and/or improve existing client development strategy from end to end
Conduct research to identify new markets, industries, leads, and client needs that fit within our capabilities
Prospect and arrange business meetings with prospective clients
Find authentic and personal ways to promote Hyphen Works' ethos and services while addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
Prepare and/or assist in client presentations, proposals, and service agreements
Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
Drive and provide honest feedback to Founder on client development goals and workflow
Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients
Maintaining and owning history and data via CRM for client relationships, including using tools such as Hubspot, Folk.
Support founder in operational and strategic tasks for new businesses
Qualifications
Working experience as a business development / marketing manager, ideally within a small to medium creative and/or marketing agency environment
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Comfortable with communicating with clients in English.
3-5+ years of overall work experience, preferably in consumer-facing or cultural spaces/brands
Warm and sharp communication and negotiation skills
Enjoy meeting new people, getting to know and helping them achieve their causes. Results-driven.
Proven sales track record
Experience in CRM tools such as Hubspot/Folk, Google Slides/Keynote
Warm and sharp communication and negotiation skills
Kindness and empathy are must-haves
Sharp time management and automation skills
Passionate about client service within the creative, brand, or startup spaces.
Self-starter and a team player
Optimistic, proactive and detail-oriented
Have a personal interest in culture, music, arts, fashion, storytelling
Hours
Hours: 40 hours per week as contractor, with full-time potential after 3 months upon review
Salary
Competitive base, and for those who has proved themselves, we offer a 5-10% of revenue share for each project won, with room to grow. Our most recent projects are signed at $10K USD to $50K USD so you do the math.
Remote work is preferred. We succeed via reliable and non-intrusive email and Slack communication.
Professional Conversational and Written English

Have 4+ years in a marketing or a business development role where you have developed relationships and opportunities with clients and partners
Enjoy talking to new people and is able to present, pitch and hold an engaging conversation with potential clients
