Junior Software Engineer (Quality Assurance)

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to help establish and grow quality assurance practices for our core RPA product, Robotiive.

You will be embedded directly with our development team, working alongside engineers to test, validate, and improve the product. This is a role for someone who is genuinely curious, takes initiative, and wants early ownership rather than a guided apprenticeship. We move fast, and we want someone who asks hard questions and doesn't wait to be told what to look for. What You'll Do

• Execute manual test cases across functional, regression, and exploratory testing cycles aligned with Sprint releases.
• Proactively explore the product to identify edge cases and unexpected behaviors beyond assigned test cases.
• Accurately reproduce, document, and track defects through the full defect lifecycle.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to confirm stability.
• Write clear, maintainable test cases and test reports.
• Begin developing and maintaining automated test scripts, learning and applying automation tooling used by the team.
• Communicate testing findings, defects, and blockers clearly to the team.

What We Look For

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software QA, software development, or a closely related technical role.
• Genuine curiosity about software quality — someone who naturally asks "what could go wrong?" and wants to find out.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts: test cases, bug reporting, regression testing, and exploratory testing.
• Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language (Python preferred).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving requirements.
• Clear and proactive communication style — able to surface blockers and findings without waiting to be asked.
• MUST BE A NATIVE MANDARIN SPEAKER

Valued (Nice-to-Have) Experience:

• Genuine interest in RPA, automation, or B2B software products.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Pytest, Playwright, Selenium).
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts or pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
