


MoMo is Vietnam’s leading fintech platform, driving financial inclusion through technology and innovation. The SME Payment & Business Solutions (SPS) department powers one of the largest SME merchant ecosystems in the country through products like QR payments and Soundbox.
Here’s the challenge: beyond payments, merchants still lack simple, practical digital tools for the rest of their daily operations — from managing sales, attracting customers, handling compliance, to accessing working capital. The products that solve these problems haven’t been built yet. And that’s exactly why this role exists.
The Manager of New Business and Product for SME Merchants will own the exploration, validation, and launch of new product lines that expand MoMo’s value proposition for merchants beyond payments. This is a 0→1 builder role — you won’t inherit a defined product roadmap. You’ll create one.

Payment is becoming a commodity: Soundbox and QR have strong Product-Market-Fit, but competitors are replicating fast. MoMo needs new value layers to retain merchants and build a moat beyond hardware.
Regulatory tailwinds: New policies on electronic invoicing, digital tax filing, and SME formalization are creating demand for simple compliance tools — but no one has nailed it for micro/small merchants yet.
Data advantage at scale: With hundreds of thousands of active merchants and rich transaction data, MoMo has a unique right to build financial and operational products that no standalone SaaS player can match.

Strongly Preferred
5+ years of experience in product management, business development, or startup/new business roles, with at least 2 years owning a product or business line end-to-end.
Proven 0→1 track record: have launched a new product, feature set, or business unit from scratch (inside a company or as a founder) and scaled it to measurable traction.
Strong product thinking: ability to identify user problems, frame hypotheses, write clear PRDs, and work with engineering teams to ship solutions.
Analytical rigor: comfortable with data, dashboards, A/B testing, and using metrics to drive decisions. Can build a basic business model and track unit economics.
Nice to Have
Experience working with SME merchants or small business owners in Vietnam.
Experience with hardware + software product combinations (POS, IoT, Soundbox-like devices).
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Product, or Technology.
Startup or consulting background.
