Senior Backend Engineer (Taiwan branch of a US company)
Job Description
The leading platform in one of the filed worldwide, is seeking a Senior Backend software developer to join RD team based in Taiwan.
Job responsibilities:
1. Developing and maintaining one of the largest real-time, high-scale operations globally, supporting over billion users, processing over 500,000 requests per second, and handling 100TB of new data daily.
2. Taking end-to-end ownership of the services you work on, including design, development, deployment, measurement, and maintenance. You'll also be responsible for solving any production issues in the framework code.
3. Collaborating with a talented team of software engineers.
4. Having a direct impact on the way billions of people discover content on the internet.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Experience in developing large-scale distributed systems.
2. Strong understanding of fundamental Computer Science principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, system architecture, application programming, and multithreading.
3. At least 5 years of programming experience in object-oriented languages.
4. Knowledge of production systems.
5. Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
6. Highly skilled in a Linux environment.
7. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
8. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
9 . Experience with Big Data tools, Kafka and Hadoop (Optional)
10. Knowledge of algorithms, data mining, and machine learning. (Optional)
