4. Location and Schedule Flexibility

We have a hybrid set-up with the team in Taiwan meeting in person 2-3 times per month. If you’re outside of Taiwan, you can work fully remotely.

Our team typically works 9:00-18:00 Taipei time. But if you want to make any changes to your schedule, we're very open to it.

About the Role

As our Mid-Level Full Stack Mobile Developer, you are at the heart of our development team. You will dive deep into the complexities of our system, taking ownership to navigate intricate challenges and elevate our application. In this dynamic role, you will leverage your full-stack expertise, from crafting interactive front-end interfaces to architecting scalable back-end solutions. You are eager to tackle complex problems, contribute to a team-driven environment, and drive continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Elevating Mobile User Interfaces: Apply your expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and animation libraries to develop intuitive and visually appealing mobile interfaces.
• Architecting Scalable Back-End Solutions: Use Node.js, Nest.js, and other back-end technologies to build reliable services that support expansive app functionalities.
• Optimizing Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize AWS cloud services, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient operations through adept DevOps practices.
• Streamlining Payment Processes: Integrate Stripe for comprehensive in-app and server-side payment solutions, enhancing user convenience and financial security.
• Championing Quality Assurance: Embed robust testing frameworks into the development process, ensuring the reliability and performance of the application.
• Driving Collaboration and Innovation: Work synergistically within a dynamic team, sharing insights and ideas, to bring our shared vision to life, fostering an environment where creativity meets technology.

Requirements

• 🇺🇸 Fluency in English. Strong written and verbal communication in Chinese is a great bonus.
• 🕑🇹🇼 Must live in a time zone that is no more than 2 hours ahead or behind Taiwan time (GMT+8).
• Front-End:
  • Develop and maintain the mobile application using React Native, TypeScript, and various libraries (Animated, Reanimated, Lottie, Skia) for animations.
  • Utilize NextJS and Remix for front-end development and ensure seamless integration with our back-end services.
  • Handle app store management, including App Store Connect and Google Play Console, ensuring compliance and optimizing app visibility.
• Back-End:
  • Work with AWS and Google Cloud Platform for back-end services, including infrastructure, devops, and database management using technologies such as Terraform, Beanstalk, S3 Bucket, Lightsail, Node.js, Nest.js, GraphQL, MariaDB, Redis, Prisma, and Docker.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive payment solutions, including in-app , server-side and Stripe payments, and manage app subscriptions, coaching, and backend offers.
• Other:
  • Collaborate on Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes using GitHub, Expo.dev, and other CI tools.
  • Monitor app performance and address issues using Sentry, Grafana, and other monitoring tools.
  • Engage with third-party services for marketing, analytics, customer support, and more, including ActiveCampaign, Postmark, OneSignal, Growthbook, Mixpanel, Intercom, and Vimeo.
