Get to know the Role

The UX of blockchain is a new field compared to the UX of Web2 products. Current UX issues are facing a few problems including not good onboarding experience, poor usability, unreadable addresses, difficult technical jargon...etc. At Blocto, you’ll own and drive research projects to make blockchain accessible to users. As a part of the product design team, you’ll collaborate with our talented product designers to shape the user experience of Web3 products together. You’ll also play a key part in the product development process by helping the team to understand the needs and behavior of users and help improve the overall Blocto ecosystem user experience by leveraging different UX methodologies such as in-depth interviews, usability studies, card sorting activities, surveys, and secondary research.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead end-to-end research projects such as persona, 1:1 user interviews, surveys, and user journey maps, …etc, including driving research objectives, hypotheses, methodology, execution, analysis, and communication

• Turn open questions and ambiguities into research studies and analyze the results with insights and clear action items in a fast-paced environment

• Contribute to the design decisions with an openness to new ideas based on user research

• Validate design decisions through usability testing and bridge the gap between users, designers, and developers

• Collaborate closely with the product team & growth squad by being responsible for the research activities

What we’re looking for

• A passion for building amazing Web3 products
• 4 years + of working as a user experience researcher
• Experience both qualitative and quantitative research
• A strong understanding of the psychological basis of user research
• Expertise in a wide variety of research methodologies
• Embrace a growth mindset, a culture of continuous learning
• Be a team player and enjoy working as part of a cross-functional team
• A strong sense of independence, ownership, and initiative
• Problem-solving with a positive can-do attitude
• Keep an open mind and think critically
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge and understanding of NFTs and crypto
• Experience in FullStory, Hotjar, Smartlook (User Behavior Analytics Tool)
• Experience in Figma, Sketch (User Interface Design Tool)
• A degree in a related field such as human-computer interaction, psychology, or design
