Software Engineer (Client Solutions)

Role Overview:
This role will be within the Client Solutions Technology team. The Engineer will work as part of a small but highly skilled team of senior engineers focused on designing and implementing highly customized solutions for our clients, complex integrations with third parties, as well as perform support duties. A candidate is likely to gain exposure to both new and complex technologies as well as in-depth business knowledge.

The candidate should possess good analytical skills, strong software engineering skills, a logical approach to problem solving, be able to work in a fast-paced environment liaising with demanding stakeholders to understand complex requirements and be able to prioritize work under pressure with minimal supervision.

We are seeking a proactive individual who can take ownership of challenges and exhibit leadership and accountability in delivering new features. During the development cycle, you will be responsible for writing high-quality unit tests, providing necessary documentation for new feature implementations, and participating in the testing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently investigate and design relatively complex systems
• Optimize system performance and ensure the stability of system services
• Translate business requirements and use cases into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Review, test, and verify code for adherence to quality and security standards
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality and organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring boot.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, databases (MySQL and MongoDB), distributed architecture, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the fintech industry.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks.
• Experience doing solutions architecture and design.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
