Senior Software Engineer (React/TypeScript front-end 100% hands-on) Part time

We are looking for a front-end engineer who can effortlessly combine technical expertise with product design principles to play a key role in our product redesign efforts. This individual will work closely across product, engineering, and marketing to help us build a world-class product.

As the Front-end Engineer, you will have an opportunity to have a massive impact, designing and implementing our front-end architecture that can support our product for years to come. This person will find a balance between delivering the best customer experience while optimizing for performance, using beautifully simple visual elements and interfaces, bridging the gap between design and code.

Reporting Structure: this position will report to VP of Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the project teams in which you can contribute your ability from design, analysis, implementation, verification, and deployment.
• Daily sync-up with a project team from multiple locations to update progress, clarify requirements and discuss the technical solutions.
• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Work with the product team to make architecture/framework decisions
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, MS or equivalent experience preferred
• At least 4 years of programming in frontend technologies using TypeScript, Node.js/Next.js
• Proficient in English communication
  
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with modern front-end builds pipelines and tools.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript.
• Experienced in Agile methodologies.
• Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests is a plus.
• Familiar with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Familiar with SEO principles
• Familiar with design tools such as Sketch, Illustrator, and Figma
• Creative problem-solving and analysis skills
• Process-oriented with great documentation skills
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical personnel
• Embrace strong culture in continuous learning and sharing with others

Stage 1: Prepare presentation with 2 slides

Stage 2: 30 min Fundamental Session, 15min to explain solution on critical project, 15min to share learning on latest technology, interviewed by VP of Engineering in Taipei.

Stage 3: compete the technical test in four days.

Stage 4: 30 min Technical Session, interviewed by technical expert in San Francisco.

Stage 5: 30 min Partnership Session, interviewed by co-founder in Taipei.

Stage 6: 30 min Culture Session, interviewed by CEO in San Francisco.
