We assign production department members, who manage product quality and production progress, and Takumi (skilled artisans) to production offices in Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City, Dhaka, Jakarta, and Bengaluru. Production office
representatives visit factories weekly to resolve any issues and ensure quality management right there on the factory floor. The production department swiftly addresses any quality concerns raised by customers and implements improvements if required.

To become the world’s best-loved No. 1 brand, it is vital to pursue operational growth and sustainability in tandem and build a supply chain that facilitates stable but flexible production. The building of such a system is underpinned by the strong trust we have nurtured with the production partners to whom we outsource our fabric production and garment sewing. We share our commitment to high-quality production and proper procedures. This enables us to deliver truly great clothes to customers worldwide. We have built long-standing win-win relationships and grown together with partner factories that share our philosophy and values. In 2023, we began extending these partnerships to upstream raw materials procurement, and we are working tirelessly to stabilize quality and costs, improve lead times, reduce environmental impact, uphold human rights, and improve working environments across all processes. We want to achieve a business model that allows us to produce and sell the right volumes of the exact products that customers want, at the exact time they want them; while minimizing impacts on people and the environment.

We are expected to go beyond simply improving the functionality and quality of clothing, to provide solutions to social and environmental challenges, and to create new forms of value.
UNIQLO will work with partner factories to adopt larger-scale, environmentally friendly production processes. Conducting ethical procurement (animal welfare, environmentally conscious, supporting farmer livelihoods, etc.) together with our selected partners means customers can use our products with confidence.
Fast Retailing will continue to contribute to society through a truly great clothing business that offers new and unique value.

We believes that respecting human rights and ensuring the health, safety, and security of all workers in our supply chain is our most important responsibility. As our business expands across the globe, Fast Retailing is building stronger partnerships with our factories, enhancing our efforts to respect human rights, and to improve working environments across our supply chain.

We continues to improve environmental management systems and promote environmental management throughout the supply chain.
We works to eliminate all waste in in order to maximize the effective use of resources across all business processes. As we reduce our environmental impact, we also adopt innovative technologies in an effort to build more sustainable business models.
