Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team as the Head of Design. You will lead the design team, ensuring a cohesive vision across all aspects of our product, from user research and wireframing to final visual design and user testing. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience working in startups and guiding a team of designers toward delivering a user-centric product.

Responsibilities:

• Lead & Mentor: Manage a team of three or more designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback to help them grow professionally and deliver top-quality work.
• Product Ownership: Take full ownership of the UI/UX design process for one or more products, from ideation to execution, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align on the product vision and design strategy.
• User Research: Lead and conduct user research, usability testing, and other methods to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, focusing on intuitive design and seamless user interaction.
• Design Systems: Develop and maintain a consistent design system to ensure uniformity and brand coherence across all products and platforms.
• Iteration: Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders, ensuring the final product meets business objectives and user needs.

Startup Experience: Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced startup environment, where agility, quick decision-making, and adaptability are key.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience working on SaaS platforms or digital products.
• Familiarity with front-end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with engineering teams.
• Knowledge of design thinking and lean methodologies.
