RentHop and RealtyHop are headquartered in New York City, with venture funding from Y Combinator and Two Sigma Ventures. The two founders graduated from MIT and Wharton, and attended graduate school at Harvard Business School and Princeton. We launched in the Summer 2009 Y Combinator class and have remained bootstrapped and profitable ever since. In 2020, we had team members working in New York City, Silicon Valley, Norway, and Kazakhstan. By mid 2021, we also opened our Taipei engineering office!
For the first time ever, we are launching an engineering office in Taipei! Candidates will work locally with our CEO. Opportunities for H1-B sponsorship or remote work are also possible.
Our goal is to simplify real estate decisions with quantitative analysis paired with front-end tools to help consumers and real estate professionals visualize, search, and filter our vast amounts of data. We operate a two consumer-facing marketplaces, similar to 591 in Taiwan, and we are 2nd largest open listings rental marketplace in New York City.
RealtyHop finds the most undervalued condo, coop, and home deals. While other sites are tailored to first-time homeowners, our target audience is investors and buyers with an investment mindset. We recognize the value of the fundamentals when it comes to buying/selling properties, and we believe that every investor, whether large or small, should have access to the information.
At RealtyHop, we focus on important quantitative metrics such as cap rate, financing, tax benefits, and board restrictions. Specifically, with a trove of rental data from our rental site, RentHop, we predict the sublet return, model cash flow revenues, and help investors make smarter decisions.
We are headquartered in New York City and currently serve most major U.S. cities.
