We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team in developing next-generation AI-powered surgical imaging applications on NVIDIA IGX embedded devices, leveraging NVIDIA Holoscan SDK, DeepStream SDK, and both C++ and Python Operator SDKs. This role requires a solid understanding of real-time systems, embedded programming, GPU acceleration, and AI pipeline orchestration in a clinical setting.
You should have at least four years of software development experience, including significant expertise in C++ and working knowledge of Python, ideally in the context of computer vision, medical imaging, or edge computing.
Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, you will be expected to:
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including AI researchers, imaging scientists, and clinical stakeholders to define and implement robust software solutions for intraoperative AI guidance and image analysis.
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance software pipelines using C++ on NVIDIA IGX platforms, integrating with the NVIDIA Holoscan SDK and DeepStream SDK.
Implement, integrate, and optimize C++ and Python Holoscan operators to enable real-time video processing, AI inference, and visualization.
Ensure software components meet reliability, latency, and safety requirements for real-time embedded surgical environments.
Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure code quality, safety, and maintainability across the software stack.
Troubleshoot, profile, and optimize system performance using NVIDIA development tools (e.g., Nsight, nvprof, Jetson utilities).
Continuously stay current with advances in edge AI, embedded GPU programming, and medical imaging technologies.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least four years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on modern C++ (C++14/17/20).
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, multi-threading, real-time systems, and memory-efficient programming.
Experience with GStreamer, DeepStream SDK, or NVIDIA Holoscan SDK is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Python for scripting, rapid prototyping, and integration of AI models is a plus.
Familiarity with CUDA programming, TensorRT, or other GPU-accelerated frameworks is a strong advantage.
Experience developing on Linux-based embedded systems, especially NVIDIA Jetson/IGX platforms.
Understanding of AI model inference, image/video processing pipelines, and deployment in clinical or regulated environments is a bonus.
Prior exposure to Agile development, DevOps, or CI/CD for embedded systems is beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently or within a cross-functional team.
