Attend RD Feature review meetings, assess engineering specifications and design documents, and offer feedback. Also, actively participate in reviewing code and new feature designs in both C++ and C#.
Develop, implement, and update test plans covering various levels such as functional, system, integration, and regression tests. Additionally, ensure the test environment is correctly set up.
Collaborate closely with software developers to promptly address any software defects or issues.
Oversee software code and release management tasks, including compiling code, packaging software for release/patch installations, and creating release notes and other necessary support documents. Also, prepare documentation such as test environment setup guides and user manuals.
Collaborate with field engineers to verify and reproduce issues reported from customer sites.
Foster collaboration and communication with other departments and teams.
Manage project ticket assignments, testing schedules, test status, bug status, and release tasks.
Requirements
Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or information engineering, with a preference for backgrounds in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or applied mathematics.
Prior experience in software build processes, software testing, release management, and documentation (including Test Plans, Test Reports, and Release Notes). Proficiency in coding with C# or C/C++ to support research and development efforts is advantageous.
Familiarity with operating in both Windows and Linux environments, including command-line operations and setup procedures, as well as knowledge of Linux kernel architecture.
Additional advantageous experience includes familiarity with semiconductor tools, understanding of semiconductor processing and device fabrication, and knowledge of industry-standard semiconductor workflows.
Prior experience in customer support or service, particularly within the semiconductor or electronic devices industry, is beneficial.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining production tools, with direct experience in customer interactions to address issues and meet customer requirements, thereby ensuring software quality.
Experience in writing automation testing scripts and managing software delivery and installation processes.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments and teams, coupled with excellent communication abilities. Capable of producing clear documentation, such as Test Plans, Test Reports, Release Notes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and effectively delivering them to relevant stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-project teams and facilitating communication across teams, with proficiency in both English and Chinese languages.
Interest or prior experience in team leadership, with experience managing small teams of 3-5 individuals.
Substantial experience in software quality assurance (5-7 years) and coding (1-2 years).
Demonstrating effective presentation skills in both English and Chinese languages.
