THE ROLE:
We are in search of an experienced ECOSYSTEM ENABLING MANAGER with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems.
The role serves as a key technical interface between internal engineering teams, external vendors, and platform leadership to resolve subsystem dependencies and unblock customer enablement.
THE PERSON:
As a ECOSYSTEM ENABLING MANAGER you will partner with our cross functional teams to manage vendor accounts and their portfolio, understand our customers platforms/solutions. The person is responsible for technical ownership and ecosystem enablement of Embedded Controller (EC), ROM, and peripherals such as USB, and SD Card subsystems across AMD client platforms. This person will drive platform readiness through vendor engagement, firmware alignment, validation support, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure compliant, scalable, and timely enablement for ODM/OEM partners.
Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem & Partner Engagement and program management
- Act as the primary technical contact for EC, SPI ROM, USB, and SD Card
- Manage cross-functional timelines to ensure ecosystem readiness for new platform launches.
- Coordinate documentation, NDAs, and required enablement artifacts.
- Support vendor issue resolution and alignment with AMD platform requirements.
Cross‑Functional Coordination & Readiness
- Own ecosystem enablement across client platforms, including vendor engagement, firmware dependencies, and feature readiness.
- Support partner component bring‑up, validation readiness, and issue resolution across development milestones.
- Own and maintain the Approved vendor lists for supported ecosystems, including vendor qualification, capacity planning, and compatibility alignment.
- Partner with BIOS, silicon, power, security, validation, and operations teams to resolve existing subsystem dependencies and to craft ecosystem requirements aligned to future platforms
- Track and resolve ecosystem gaps that may impact customer enablement or schedules.
Program Governance & Reporting
- Participate in platform readiness reviews, status reporting, and lead cross-team discussion to resolve program and technical issues. Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
- Contribute to dashboards, trackers, and status summaries used by program and leadership teams and for upcoming AMD client platform launch.
- Strong self-motivator, with a sense of urgency when needed and strong crisis management skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Solid experiences of program management, technical program management, or engineering experience
- Experience working with PC OEMs, Independent Hardware Vendors, or semiconductor companies
- Background in client computing platforms, embedded controller technologies, USB ecosystem or semiconductor ecosystems
- Knowledge of client platform validation and bring-up processes
- Understanding of Client platform architecture, USB ecosystem and dependencies
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering programs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering
- Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master
