THE ROLE:
As a Program Manager within AMD’s Substrates Strategy Team, you will drive the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of substrates capacity solutions that support technology roadmap for AMD’s cutting-edge products. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to meet cost, capability and capacity goals.
 
THE PERSON:
Strong Program Manager with background in semiconductor packaging industry & experience leading capacity expansion programs. Ability to deal with dynamic environments, excel at stakeholder communication, and bring a proactive, collaborative mindset to solving challenges. Aptitude to understand key technical aspects of advancements in semiconductor packaging
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead high-level projects with strategic impact providing program management expertise and ownership.
- Program Management: Plan and enable capacity at suppliers required to meet AMDs demand and technology requirements. Coordinate with internal engineering teams, external vendors, and manufacturing partners to align on requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
- Supplier management: Key POC for suppliers for med-long term strategy. Supplier influencing at mgmt level to drive supplier to meet AMD needs. Develop strong understanding of supplier constraints and considerations to deliver to strategic needs.
- Business Process Development: Leads efforts to standardize business processes and create improvement tools to enable problem solving
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Lead a matrixed global team and ensure team is in sync to deliver to program needs. Develop dashboards and communicate performance against metrics to stakeholders and management teams.
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of Advanced packaging or Substrates technology and supply chain
- Experience working with global teams and external suppliers
 
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Master’s degree in Materials Engineering or a related technical field
