Digital Content and Design Specialist (1-year contractor)

Job Description

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

The position will support the digitization and organization of all company content. The ideal candidate should have a strong design background, and a keen sense of artistic detail. The candidates should be able to leverage their expertise in content ideation to help any colleagues finds the right and the best storytelling material.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation Support:

(1) Assist the Content Creative Lead in the development and execution of small-scale design and production tasks (e.g., posters, digital banners, infographics, video editing).
(2) Ensure all creative work is executed with a high level of attention to artistic detail.

2. Digitization of Physical Content:

(1) Execute the digitization of all physical content related to the company, such as newspapers, magazines, recordings, videos, and other media.
(2) Ensure that the digitized content meets quality standards, that the entire process complies with TSMC PIP rules, and are properly prepared for integration into the digital library.

3. Content Collection, and Organization:

(1) Work with PR and various departments to collect digital content and ensure it is correctly uploaded, categorized, and tagged on the library.
(2) Work with vendors to build a place where stock-photos, video footages, visual elements and so on can be found for general content development across all of the departments.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in art, design, particularly in video and graphic design.
3. Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of creative work, including digital and print designs.
4. Strong attention to artistic details and the ability to maintain high design standards.
5. Proficient in design software and multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, video editing tools).
