Backend Cloud Engineer - AWS

OSP Taipei operates on a hybrid work model and does not have options for fully remote work.

We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer with strong expertise in AWS to become a key player in our team. In this role, you will focus on backend development while having the chance to contribute to frontend projects, especially with React. Your main responsibility will be building, enhancing, and maintaining robust cloud-based systems, collaborating with other teams to create efficient, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build backend systems using AWS, ensuring performance tracking and system health monitoring.

• Work on the transformation of our current Angular 9 web application to React, with opportunities to be involved in frontend tasks.

• Set up and maintain GitHub-based deployment pipelines, automating service deployments.

• Architect cloud solutions with AWS to ensure they are scalable and highly available.

• Incorporate AWS ECS into the backend system to improve architecture and cloud management.

• Implement event-driven architecture using AWS services, helping shape a more flexible and responsive system.

• Diagnose and improve performance in cloud environments, focusing on scalability and event management.

• Work in an agile, cross-functional team where collaboration is key, contributing to an evolving and iterative development process.

• Deep understanding of AWS tools such as ECS, Lambda, SQS, Cloudwatch, SNS, API Gateway, Route 53, IAM, Cognito, and CDK, and familiarity with GitHub Actions, PostgreSQL, and microservices.

• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Experience with GO development is a plus.

• Experience with React is highly preferred, or a willingness to learn and contribute to frontend development.

• Knowledge of TypeScript and PHP would be advantageous but is not required.

The position involves three interviews, each covering Behavioral, Cultural Fit, and Technical aspects. The first and second interview will primarily be conducted in Chinese, with some English included. The third interviews will be conducted entirely in English. Please ensure you are comfortable communicating in both languages.
