Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy
  • Define and execute Yei Finance’s technical roadmap aligned with business goals, driving innovation in EVM-compatible cross-chain interaction models and omnichain lending frameworks.
  • Evaluate and implement scalable, secure blockchain protocols and technologies (e.g., Wormhole, LayerZero, CCTP).
  • Validate the technical feasibility of product innovations to ensure successful implementation.
2. Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
3. Product Development
  • Oversee the design and implementation of modular money markets, liquidity stacking mechanisms, and EVM-based smart contracts with a focus on security and performance.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of cross-chain protocols and a hub-and-spoke lending model.
  • Design and implement comprehensive backend API frameworks for DeFi protocols.
4. Infrastructure & Security
  • Establish and implement best practices for security, scalability, and performance, including rigorous testing and auditing processes to protect user assets and minimize vulnerabilities.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Product, and Business Development teams to align technology with market needs and customer feedback.
  • Represent Yei Finance at industry conferences and forums to advocate for our technological vision.

Requirements

Requirements

Must-Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, including 2+ years of technical leadership experience in blockchain or crypto projects.
  • Expertise in Solidity and smart contract development for EVM-based chains.
  • Deep understanding of DeFi protocols, including modular money markets, DEXs, and yield protocol mechanisms.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices for blockchain and decentralized applications, including audits.
  • Familiarity with Subgraph and the ability to design comprehensive backend API frameworks for DeFi protocols.
  • Proficiency with on-chain analytics and data tools (e.g., Dune, Flipside).
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with cross-chain integrations and bridging solutions.
  • Previous experience in building lending or defi protocols.
  • Familiarity with Move and Rust programming languages.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing blockchain architectures and cross-chain systems.
  • Experience in developing scalable API architectures for on-chain/off-chain synchronization, cross-chain querying, and high-performance blockchain data retrieval.
