▪️ Situation: Want to refactor the V1 code for better readability and maintenance.
▪️ Task: Design adn implement a new backend service to fulfill this goal.
▪️ Action: Implemented micro-service architecture with Helm, ethers.js

Doorstead is pioneering a new class of risk-free property management "iRenting" by providing landlords guaranteed rental income, regardless of occupancy (e.g. $3,400/mo starting in 28 days)
▪️ Situation: The eng team cannot do code review for an UI tool called "Retool"
▪️ Task: Need to use its on-prem solution for having Github integration feature
▪️ Action: Used Terraform, an IaC framework, for this on-prem project
▪️ Result: Used Terraform improves our reproducibility, robustness and readability

Tresl is a self-guided data marketing platform that helps you build long-lasting customer relationships. We ingest Data from Shopify, provide insights and send data back to other integrations (reverse ETL)
▪️ Situation: 10 pages of our product takes 30 seconds to load, it's because we were running heavy join query on the fly!
▪️ Task: To solve performance issue
▪️ Action: Used denormalization by following Alibaba's practice and built 3 db layers to speed up the query
▪️ Result: 10X faster (around 120M rows)

PyCon Taiwan (PyConTW) is the annual convention in Taiwan for the Python community
▪️ Situation: the team is not data driven
▪️ Task: need to build up a data team
▪️ Action: Setup Metabase for the organization, create vision for data team's volunteers and do monthly 1x1 with them
▪️ Result: retention rate for volunteers is around 50% + 3 teams are currently using Metabase for checking numbers
