Responsibilities Database Operations Support day-to-day operations of MySQL (Aurora self-hosted), Redis, and MongoDB.Assist in monitoring health, applying patches, and performing backups/restores.Help maintain replication, HA, and disaster recovery procedures.Performance OptimizationTroubleshoot slow queries, add indexes, and support schema evolution.Tune databases for high-traffic and low-latency applications, including financial transaction workloads.Assist in capacity planning and scaling activities. Technical Skills Solid experience with MySQL/InnoDB operations (replication, backups, tuning basics).Practical knowledge of Redis (Cluster or Sentinel) and MongoDB (replica sets).Familiarity with AWS services (RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, MongoDB Atlas).Basic understanding of analytics/columnar databases such as ClickHouse, Apache Spark, BigQuery, or Cassandra.Some experience with scripting (Python, Bash) for automation. Experience 2–4 years of DBA or database engineering experience.Exposure to production workloads handling significant traffic or large datasets.Experience working in a cloud-native environment (AWS preferred).
