Legal entity: SAFCWork Location: Kaohsiung An EHS Engineer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace by developing and implementing procedures, standards, and programs that comply with environmental and safety regulations. Their goal is to minimize workplace accidents, reduce environmental impact, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Your RoleCompliance and Regulatory Management:• Ensure compliance with local, company-wide, and/or international environmental and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001/14001).• Conduct routine audits and inspections of the workplace to identify unsafe conditions and practices and ensure compliance with EHS standards.• Prepare and submit required reports/documentation to regulatory agencies and management.Safety Program Development:• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and programs (such as hazard communication, chemical safety, and emergency response).• Perform risk assessments and job safety analyses to mitigate hazards and ensure the health and safety of employees.• Lead the development of safety training programs for employees and contractors to promote awareness and proper use of safety protocols.Incident Investigation:• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and identify root causes.• Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.• Maintain records of incidents and corrective measures taken.Communication and Collaboration:• Serve as the primary contact for safety and environmental audits and inspections.• Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into operations, production processes, and new projects.• Communicate EHS issues and solutions to management and staff.Who You Are:Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemistry, or related field. Working Experience: • 3-5+ years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in semiconductor, chemical, or specialty gas manufacturing.Technical Professional Knowledge: • Certified Level A Safety Professional, Certified Level A Industrial Hygienist, or environmental (air pollution, wastewater treatment, waste handling, toxic substance handling) relevant certifications.• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Fire and other relevant EHS regulations.• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or other environmental management systems.• Understanding of risk assessment techniques and incident investigation methods.
