POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for all mechanical related tasks in Mechanical engineering to support and provide deliverables throughout the design standardization, RFQ platform development, New Program Introduction (NPI) development in accordance with customer requirements, regulatory standards and company quality policy. Aims are - satisfactory result of OTD (On time Delivery) in the committed schedule, cost effective design, and customer satisfaction in multiple projects simultaneously as well as in good quality results. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. New Program Introduction (NPI) development • Responsible for supporting all mechanical related activities / deliverables in NPI development starting from Proto to PVT. • Activities include, but not limit to, mechanical design, verification tests, reliability test support, design review meeting, customer conference call, factory DFM review, factory build support…etc • Deliverables include, but not limit to, test / design check report, tolerance analysis report, thermal simulation report, design document for customer approval, info to Engineering Coordinator (EC) for BOM or document release, BOM for factory build, part design drawing, assembly drawing…etc 2. RFQ Platform development • Support / provide deliverables in RFQ platform development activities. • Propose conceptual design packaging and mechanical design / thermal simulation to be included in technical proposal for customer. • Estimated RFQ BOM / tooling cost for mechanical items in RFQ BOM costing. • Support all mechanical related activities / deliverable in platform design development 3. Design standardization • In any chance possible, it needs to work / design with the approach that the material selected / design could be reused with the same IPN. It would be beneficial to shorten the development lead-time and cost effective. • Support / provide deliverables in standardization development. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Regularly work in Taiwan office and lab. Occasionally travel to Philippines factory or Customer site for on-site support.
