We're building the company that fills it.Role summary Founding Senior Frontend Engineers at Matchii own the interface where our users interact with the power of our AI. This includes building highly responsive, intuitive, and complex web applications that support our end-to-end service delivery workflows. As a senior member of the team, you will collaborate closely with founders, product designers, and backend engineers to translate sophisticated AI-driven processes into simple, seamless user experiences. You will drive our frontend architecture, set the standard for high-performance UI/UX, and ensure that our platform remains agile as we rapidly iterate and scale our ecosystem for customers and service providers. What you'll own Build Ship UI Features: Develop and ship user-facing features and intuitive interfaces across Matchii’s platform in a highly secure, responsive, and performant way.Translate AI into UX: Partner closely with founders, product management, and backend engineers to translate complex, AI-powered backends and workflows into clean, frictionless user experiences.Own Frontend Architecture: Architect and optimize a highly maintainable, scalable frontend codebase capable of handling real-world marketplace data and dynamic user interactions.Establish Engineering Standards: Define, evolve, and advocate for high standards in code quality, style, automated testing, and web performance through thoughtful technical design and thorough code reviews.Drive Autonomous Execution: Consistently own and execute mid-to-large scale frontend initiatives end-to-end with minimal guidance, while seamlessly collaborating on company-wide technical priorities.Scale the UI Foundation: Identify and build reusable UI components and shared design systems to accelerate development velocity and maintain design consistency across teams.Solve High-Complexity Problems: Diagnose and resolve complex performance, rendering, and state-management bottlenecks, ensuring a flawless user experience at scale.Mentor and Cultivate Culture: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers, removing blockers and helping shape Matchii’s collaborative engineering culture as an early team member. Who we're looking for 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a deep mastery of Vue.js (highly preferred) or another modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular).Core Web Foundations: A rock-solid understanding of core JavaScript (ES6+), semantic HTML, advanced CSS/Sass, and browser concepts (rendering, performance optimization, state management).Production-Grade Standards: Proven experience with frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack), version control (Git), and writing robust automated tests (Jest, Vitest, Cypress).AI SaaS UI Experience: Experience creating dynamic, highly responsive dashboards, data visualizations, or interfaces that interact with complex asynchronous data (such as LLM/AI workflows) is a huge plus.Pragmatic Problem Solver: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and optimize client-side performance, loading bottlenecks, and scalability issues.High-Velocity Mindset: Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, intensely iterative, and highly agile startup environment; ability to move fluidly from ambiguity to execution.Communication Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to break down complex technical concepts and collaborate across functions (Founders, Product, Backend).Self-Driven Ownership: Self-motivated, highly autonomous, and eager to help shape the technical foundation and culture of an early-stage team from the ground up.
