As a Memory Supplier Quality Engineer, you work in collaboration with Suppliers, Hardware Designers, Commodity Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Data Center teams. You will set and manage Memory component quality and reliability standards, drive supplier factory certification audits, and lead component and manufacturing site qualifications. You will actively manage NPI and sustaining quality, continuous improvements, and ensure lessons learned are actioned back to suppliers and partner teams. You will drive true root cause failure analysis and systemic corrective actions with comprehensive preventative actions. You will extract and analyze data from supplier facilities, Google production lines, and Google data centers to verify performance and drive improvements.The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. From software to hardware our teams are shaping the future of world-leading hyperscale computing, with key teams working on the development of our TPUs, Vertex AI for Google Cloud, Google Global Networking, Data Center operations, systems research, and much more.ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end quality, reliability, and qualification of memory components and modules from introduction through product discontinuation across varied server platforms.Establish field reliability metrics and predictive failure rates for memory components deployed across the computing fleet based on operational telemetry and workload stresses.Influence memory suppliers and contract manufacturers while providing on-site technical factory support during critical hardware quality crises.Drive rapid containment of fleet and factory issues using rigorous root cause corrective action and failure analysis methodologies.Partner with cross-functional design and manufacturing teams to implement advanced quality plans and proactively mitigate global supply chain risks.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
