The Switch Infrastructure team designs, develops, tests, and deploys the switch hardware and software for the networks inside Google's massive data centers and the private backbone connecting them worldwide. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers responsible for the testing and validation of Google's network switch stack and infrastructure. Define and drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for network test engineering, automation, and infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Development, SRE, Product Management) to ensure high-quality network deployments. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of test frameworks, tools, and testbeds. Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including functional, performance, scale, and integration testing. Manage project priorities, resource allocation, and timelines. Drive best practices in software development and test engineering within the team.
